05 Jan Varvara: W. A. Mozart
N produces the Mozart album of the Russian pianist from Ibercamera, at the Symphonic Hall of l’Auditori de Girona.
Varvara proposes set of pieces which highlight this broad range of music. The “Sonata in C minor KV 457” (preceded by the “Fantasy KV 475”, composed seven months later) was published in Vienna in 1785 and it is dedicated to his pupil Thérèse von Trattner. The “Variations KV 300” on a French folk song were also published that year in Vienna and they have become one of the composer’s most popular works. The “Rondo KV 511” is from 1787, taking surprising advantage of a very simple theme inspired by the death of a friend. The “Sonata KV 310”, composed during his stay in Paris (1778), is one of the young Mozart’s greatest pieces.
