13 Dec Luís Tinoco wins “Premio Pessoa”
We are pleased to congratulate Luís Tinoco who has been awarded with the Premio Pessoa one of the most distinguished prizes regarding portuguese culture. In the almost 40 years of the existence of the Premio Pessoa this is one of the few times the price has been awarded to someone in the musical field.
Tinoco has been working in the music industry for over 24 years now and distinguished himself not only as a composer but also as a musical promoter within the great diversity of new music, namely through the radio program “Geografia dos sons” at Antena 2. He is also the director of the “young musicians” award and is a professor for composition at the Superior School of Music in Lisbon.
N Studio Lisbon has worked with Tinoco for several years now and had the pleasure to collaborate with him on his albums “The Blue Voice of the Water” (2018), “Archipelago” (2018), winner of the first Play Award of classical music, and “Luís Tinoco: Alepo e Outros Silêncios” (2022) of which the latter ones were entirely produced by N Studio Lisbon.
We are excited to see that his excellent work has been recognized by the Premio Pessoa and are looking forward to Tinocos future projects.
