04 May Preserving a Legacy: N Studio Lisbon to Restore the Pau Casals Foundation Sound Archive
N Studio Lisbon is pleased to announce that restoration work has begun on the sound archive of the Fundació Pau Casals.
It is a profound honour to have been entrusted with a task at once so delicate and so exacting. The archive is of immeasurable historical and artistic value, documenting the legacy of one of the greatest musical figures of the twentieth century. Its preservation calls for a meticulous, patient and technically rigorous approach, befitting the importance of the material in our care.
The project follows a long-standing collaboration: since 2018, N Studio Lisbon has recorded the concerts of the Festival Internacional de Música Pau Casals in El Vendrell — a partnership built on mutual trust and a shared standard of listening.
Our team approaches the restoration of this archive with the seriousness such material demands, and with a renewed sense of responsibility towards what it preserves.
